About Mineral Products

We know how frustrating it is for natural-products consumers to try to understand the ingredients in the products that they buy. Here is a brief description of the ingredients used in Renu’ Skin Minerals:

Titanium Dioxide: This is a naturally occurring mineral that exists in the earth’s surfaces. It provides wonderful coverage for foundation as well as a non-irritating, full-spectrum sun shield.

Mica: This is an age-old cosmetic used as long ago as the Egyptians. It is an almost colorless mineral that occurs naturally in the Earth’s surface.

Iron Oxides: These minerals are what add color to makeup. They are natural salts that have been oxidized in a water process.

Serecite: This is a fluffy translucent mineral that can be used alone as a setting powder, and provides a silky texture to a foundation.

Ferric Ferrocyanide: This is an organic pigment that provides blue tones to natural mineral pigment.

Zinc: Especially good mineral to reduce inflammation of pores. It actually improves the condition of skin and promotes healing.

What Are Mineral Cosmetics?

Mineral Cosmetics are what makeup should be: All of the coverage, color, and finesse, without the chemicals, synthetics, and dyes.

Mineral Cosmetics are loose powders that have no fillers added to them. The powders are actually crushed minerals that have been extracted from the Earth’s surface. If this sounds strange, these minerals are already in all of the cosmetics that you own, but with many added chemicals.

We have seen hundreds of women’s faces literally transformed by a simple five-minute application of foundation, eye, and lip color.

You’ll never again have that heavy, cakey feeling that you get with traditional makeup lines. The products are very lightweight, long lasting, hypoallergenic, and have a high SPF.

How To Apply Mineral Cosmetics

Foundation, Setting Powder and Blush 

Tap a small amount of powder into the top and swirl your Kabuki Brush into it. Tap the bottom of the handle with the brush head facing upwards on a hard surface. This settles the powder into the brush head.

Firmly spread powder on clean, dry skin to evenly blend pigments. Use a buffing method. For blemishes, a separate concealer is not needed. Use a shadow brush to apply small amounts to the problem areas and blend well.

 For those with dry, flaky skin, loose mineral foundation can be blended with our natural lotions to create a cream foundation. First moisturize as usual, then tap a small amount of powder into the palm of your hand. Add a drop of our natural moisturizer. Blend the two products together until a smooth, creamy consistency is achieved. Use your fingers to apply.

Eye Shadows & Ultra Mattes

 Using your shadow brush dip just the tip of the brush into your powder, then tap the brush on the side of your container, so excess powders fall back into it. This ensures that you do not use too much. Brush it gently on your lids, crease, or under the brow, making sure to blend it until it looks natural.

Liquid Eye Liner

 Using the angled liner brush, simply moisten the brush and dip it into your powder. Mix the powder and water together on the back of your hand or in a separate container to create a creamy liquid liner. If your using the thin eyeliner brush, moisten a q-tip and dip that into the powder to create a paste. Then, dip the eyeliner brush into the liquid and carefully apply to the upper and/or lower lids, starting as close to the lashes as possible.

Lip Color

 Dip a lip brush into your clear lip gloss/lip balm and then into your desired color. Apply the mix to your lips and blend well. A clear lip base such as our Cocoa Butter/Vitamin E Stick can also be used. Lip colors also available in preformulated lip gloss and tube lipsticks.

Nail Polish

 Using a good quality clear nail polish, dip the brush into the desired color and polish onto your nails. You can also mix the powders into colored nail polish to create a fantastic custom colors.

Body Shimmer/Bronzer

Use a brush or cotton ball and lightly touch it into the desired color. Dust the powder onto shoulders, cheeks or anywhere you want a touch of shimmer.
